Ambient temperature should be kept at +4°C to +7°C, preventing bacterial growth. |

The internal flooring, corners and all sides of a waste storage facility should be categorically leak-proof. |

All the surfaces in a waste storage facility should be produced from materials that can be easily cleaned. |

For the purpose of ensuring both environmental and community health, a waste storage facility should be located in an outdoor place that is outside of hospital buildings, away from crowds of people and patients and well away from food storage, preparation and sales premises. |
